Jongen UNI-MILL Face Milling Cutter Type A22
This universally applicable face milling cutter allows very effective roughing and finishing machining of steel, high grade steel and cast iron materials with a max. depth of cut of 6,7 mm, with effectively 8 cutting edges per insert.
A special feature of this new face milling generation is the high number of teeth and the soft cutting manner, thanks to the effectively positive rake angle.
The programme comprises shell type cutters with diameters from 50 to 160 mm.
The tools are available in closed and regular tooth pitch, that makes it possible to choose the right tool for the respective milling operation. Furthermore, the tools have an unequal tooth pitch, that reduces reliably vibrations, even when high operating parameters are adopted.
The effectively 8-edges reversible inserts have a highly positive chip braker and are available as precision sintered and precision ground versions. The precision sintered version JMA22-884 is suitable for light to medium metal cutting operations, whereas the precision ground version JMA22-584 can be adopted for medium to heavy-duty metal cutting operations.
Both versions can achieve tooth feed rates of 0,5 mm.
In addition, there is another version which is precision ground, has two cutting edges and functions as wiper insert, it is adopted with standard inserts and enables the manufacturing of very even surfaces up to Ra 0,1µm.
The tools with diameter up to 100 mm are equipped with bore holes for internal coolant passages.
These tools are most appropriate for middle and large sized machines
