ABB’s FlexPacker industrial Delta robot wins Red Dot award

• FlexPacker’s compact design quality, level of innovation and concept of focused productivity lands prestigious award. • The FlexPacker Delta robot was designed specifically for fast, high-payload picking and efficient packaging of goods. Particular focus was placed on shelf-ready Packaging (SRP), in which the products can be placed vertically. Equipped with either four or five axes, the robot makes secondary packaging more time-efficient. During the design and development phase, requirements, such as a 15kg payload, a wider working diameter and volume, a fifth “tilting” axis, new hygienic features, strength, speed, were identified.
