Twisted Shaped Insert for High Feed Milling is Guarantees Higher Productivity ISCAR expands its LOGIQ4FEED family of fast feed milling tools with additional standard milling cutters and indexable inserts. The new milling cutters available today consist of: • A milling head with MULTI-MASTER adaptation in 20, 25mm diameters • A milling head with FLEXFIT adaptation in 42mm diameters • Shell face mills in 42, 50 and 52mm diameters Some of the unique features of these milling cutters include: • a wide range of applications • A fine-tooth pitch design for higher productivity • Internal coolant holes directed to each cutting edge • Advanced protective plating of the cutter body facilitates chip flow and protects against corrosion and wear • Excellent solution for rough milling at high feeds for all types of machine tools, including these with limited power One of the new indexable inserts that was added to the LOGIQ4FEED family of fast feed milling tools was intended for interrupted cut and machining near straight wall shoulders of austenitic stainless steel, titanium and high temperature alloys (ISO M and ISO S application groups). This insert is available in carbide grades IC808, IC882. The second new insert is intended for interrupted cut and machining near straight wall shoulders of steel, ferritic and martensitic stainless steel, cast iron and hardened steel (ISO P, ISO K and ISO H application groups). This new insert is available in carbide grade IC808. These new inserts feature 4 indexable reinforced cutting edges and are produced from ISCAR’s innovative SUMOTEC carbide grades to ensure high productivity. The combination of an advanced design with the high-technology carbide grades results in a significantly improved resistance to edge breakage and chipping, which facilitates better tool life and represents a source of increased productivity in fast feed milling.
