Mitsubishi Materials develops an all new Barrel cutter ideal for finishing complex shapes typical to the Aerospace Industry. This video shows three VQ Series tools processing a 30 blade Blisk from rough to finish in Ti-6A-l4V. 1. VQ Ripper for Roughing = Four flute 16mm end mill with 3mm corner radius. 2. Finish Barrel cutter = R2xR85x26x80x10 = Three flute 2mm radius which transition to a Six flute 85mm radius cutting edge with 26mm apmx. Overall cutter length = 80 mm. Carbide shank = 10mm. 3.
