UMC-1500-DUO Cutting Demo - Haas Automation, Inc.

Check out this demo showcasing some of the UMC-1500-DUO's abilities. We made the demo for our 1st Demo Day Live event this year and then showed the video during our recent HaasTec week of live streams. Note: In case you notice the coolant stream seems pretty light in some places, yes we planned it that way to have the cut more visible where possible. The Haas UMC-1500-DUO is like having two machines in one: a powerful 5-axis universal machining center, and a versatile 3-axis vertical machining center. We took our industry-leading UMC-750, expanded its X-axis travel, and added a stationary 32" x 18" T-slot table next to the dual-axis trunnion. Set up 1st Op workholding on the t-slot table or use it to machine the 6th side of your completed 5-axis parts. Or, because the stationary table and trunnion platter are at the same height, fixture parts across both, and use the machine’s full X-axis travel to machine long parts. Probing on the Lathe - WIPS-L Programming with VPS Templates - Haas Automation Inc.

Probing on your turning center is just as beneficial and important as it is on your mill. But many times lathe probing seems to be more complicated and involved, with the end result being a lathe probe setup that ends up sitting inside a cabinet instead of mounted on the lathe being put to good use. In this video; Product Specialist Bhop Singh walks us through the VPS templates we've created to make measurement with your probe so much easier and simple to understand than it was before. Bhop starts off showing us an X-axis measurement, and then goes on to explain the difference between the Calibration and Measurement routines, and how you'll typically use these as you set up your different jobs. The probe is a particularly important tool when you're running an automated turning cell, so be sure to watch the whole video. Bhop touches on the many ways you can use the probe to increase the reliability of your automated turning process. The New TRT210 - Cutting Demo - Haas Automation, Inc.

Our redesigned TRT210 tilting rotary table puts 5-axis capabilities well within reach of the average job shop and its new smaller size provides greater mounting flexibility than its predecessor. We’ve completely redesigned the TRT210 to create a more compact and versatile 5-axis solution for mid-size mills. The new unit easily fits on one end of a machine’s table, leaving the remainder open for additional fixtures or vises.
