hyperMILL 2021.1 Electrode enhancements

With version 2021.1, it is possible to collision-check the head of the EDM machine and extend the electrode to avoid collisions. First, let us create an electrode. Once the calculation ends, we will get a notification in the Info tab regarding the collision-check. To check for collisions, a machine head must be selected on the EDM parameters. There are 5 example files to choose from. New heads must be created according to your machines for an accurate collision-check. Once selected, a preview of the machine head will show along with a notification of the collision check. If the selected machine head is in collision, the electrode will be extended to avoid it. The machine head list is defined in an XML file It contains the name of the machine, the file path and the layer for the C-axis of the head. The machine head files should contain the geometry needed for collision check and be stored in a location available to all users.
