MT-TPS Touch Probe Shield

The MT-TPS Touch Probe Shield: accurate in-process measuring on CNC lathe. The MT-TPS Touch Probe Shield is a shielding device for measuring probes that makes it possible to protect the probe from contact with dust, chips and coolant. The opening is air-operated and air is also used to clean the measuring stylus. Thanks to this device, the probe is protected when not in use and utmost measurement precision is guaranteed, with repeatability at even less than a micron. To allow the device to be activated even on machines not fitted with pressurisation on the turret, M.T. has developed a two-way pneumatic distributor to attach to the turret, which can be used, for example, for both the MT-TPS and to feed the pressurisation line for the X11 powered electro-spindle. The MT-TPS Touch Probe Shield main features are: - Shields the probe from chips, dust and coolant - Pneumatic opening of the shields - Air flow for touch probe cleaning - Accurate measurement in radial and axial direction. The MT- TPS Touch Probe Shield has been presented in world premiere at the Emo Hannover 2019 tradeshow.
