Sliding Steady Rest Module

Long parts machining on a standard CNC lathe turret is possible with M.T. Sliding Steady Rest Module. No modification on the machine is required, as the steady rest is driven only with the rotation of the driven toolholder! The sliding movement allows the rotation of the turret while the steady rest is in the parking position, and the remaining position of the turret can still be used for other operations with static or driven toolholders. M.T. Sliding Steady Rest Module is a stand-alone unit, plug and play, available in two sizes for Ø 4- 64 mm and Ø 8 – 101 mm. As option, we have the possibility to equip the unit with wireless sensors for CNC feedback.
