ABB Robotics and Apera AI: Robotic Random Bin Picking AI Vision Solution for Linamar Corporation

Together, two of Linamar Corporation’s subsidiaries, The Linamar Innovation Hub (iHub), and Hastech Manufacturing, collaborated with ABB Robotics, and Apera AI to commission a robotic automation solution with AI vision that could randomly pick parts from a bin, and load them onto a machine for further processing. Following the successful implementation of the ABB Robotics Apera AI solution at each one of their three stream of productions, Hastech Manufacturing is now able to maintain consistent production, while also reallocating employees to perform and focus on more important tasks such as quality assurance – making sure parts are being manufactured at the highest quality.
