Haas Chip Lift - Haas Automation, Inc.

The Haas Chip Lift is a belt-type chip conveyor that collects chips from a machine’s standard auger chute, and conveys them into a 55-gallon drum or hopper. The unit is plugged directly into the machine, and can be moved from machine to machine. The conveyor’s intake hopper can be oriented in three directions, for discharge toward the front, side, or back of the machine. Here is our final Focus video from our Demo Day Live stream that took place on December 2nd of last year. Once again, the idea here is to get right into the heart of the presentation and focus on one machine/demo. Here we're back with John and Bryan as they look at the VF-3YT50 50 Taper machine in action cutting 4130 steel. If you were watching this part of the live stream when we originally aired it then you'll notice that the 2nd half of the 90 degree shell mill pass doesn't show any resonance. That's because we dropped in the audio from another pass we made right after the show since there was some light chatter in the original video. John had run that particular part at least 4 times without any issues but thinks his feed may have been just a tad on the low side. VMT-750 Spotlight - HaasTec 2020 Focus Series - Haas Automation, Inc.

During our recent HaasTec 2020 series of live streamed events, the VMT-750 was among the most anticipated new machines during the entire 5 day show. There is definitely lots of interest in the Mill Turn segment of the industry and the VMT-750 is a fully functional example of the direction that Haas is presently taking towards this style of machine. Bhop and Andrew discuss this capable machine that is already far enough along to be showcasing it cutting, it's hands-on functionality, and just a few of the possibilities it will offer for getting complex geometry both turned and milled. We need to reiterate that this is still in the early stages of development and not planned for production until well into 2021.
