Bridgestone - High-bay warehouse in tire production automated with Mitsubishi Electric technology

In their Polish factory in Stargad, Bridgestone, a global leader in the tyre industry, produces tyres for trucks and buses. Their daily production exceeds 4000 units including a range of about 350 different sizes. From here, Bridgestone supplies tyres to individual customers and for some of the largest and world-renowned truck manufacturers. Together with its long-time partner MPL Techma, Mitsubishi Electric provided a new control and drives system as well as the MES type information system. The new system is equipped with iQ-R controllers, an integrated platform with a safety system, and Mitsubishi Electric's FR-A800-E inverters and MR-J4 servo systems. The whole system makes predictive maintenance easy and thus reduces downtime significantly.
