STP 500 – the optical tool presetting device

The STP 500 fully integrates into your production process and communicates with CAM-systems and common CNC machine controls: The tool database provides all production-relevant parameters for each tool; the control unit counts the cycles and automatically orders any required tools in advance. Costly machine downtime is avoided. A handheld scanner or an RFID reader can be used to identify a specific tool and load it into the tool management system. Depending on the interface, the newly measured values are either sent directly to the machine via the individually configurable post processors or they are stored on the tool’s RFID chip and then loaded directly into the machine or via the transfer station into the control unit. No matter which of the available interfaces you choose, error-free transmission of all values is ensured!
