A Detailed Overview of V-Guide Cleaning Procedures on Makino's DUO-Series WEDMs

Cleaning the V-Flat split precision guides on a Makino wire EDM is unbelievably fast and easy. It takes a cotton swab, some K200 solution and about three minutes to clean both upper and lower guides. To make this process even easier, no guide removal is necessary to properly perform cleaning maintenance. This saves both time and fussy vertical alignment issues. Operators can simply open the guides manually from the control, use the K200 cotton swab to clean the diamond surfaces, rinse with water and replace the flush cup.
