DMG MORI duoBLOCK Die & Mold 5-axis machining

5-axis machining of a bumper mold segment in tool steel 40CrMnMoS8-6 (1.2312) on a duoBLOCK with speedMASTER 20.000 spindle. High productivity due to circle segment cutters for semi finishing and finishing operations with line width (ae) of up to 8 mm. Surface quality of up to Ra 0,23 µm and geometric accuracy of under 10µm achieved in under 5:30 h. Seamless transition from one sister tool to another.
