Heavy Machine Transport: Delivering the DMC 160 U duoBLOCK to Pohle + Rehling, Germany

Experience the machine delivery of our DMC 160 U duoBLOCK to our customer Pohle + Rehling GmbH. This large CNC machine weighs 39 tons together with the magazine and measures 12m x 7m x 4m. With 243 magazine positions, a round storage for 6 machine pallets and a 700 Nm spindle, it is designed for heavy-duty machining and high tool infeeds. The heavy machine transport was a logistical masterpiece. Due to the extra width, transport permits had to be applied for from the authorities in the federal states through which it was passing, which can take up to 4 weeks. A total of 6 trucks were used to deliver the machine and accessories. Special precautions had to be taken before arrival, such as adjusting the foundations and ensuring that all the hall doors were large enough and that there was sufficient storage space available. Installing the machine requires precise planning and hard work. Two technicians are on site to set up and commission the machine. From the Pfronten factory to the customer, the machine traveled approximately 670 km, although the route may vary due to the width of the machine. Machining on the CTX 350 4A: High Performance Universal Turning

The latest generation of the CTX series turning centers combines a compact design with a larger working area, all while maintaining a small footprint – just 7 m² in the case of the new CTX 350 4A. Equipped with two VDI30 turrets and up to 28 tool positions, the CTX 350 4A delivers exceptional versatility. Its driven tools reach speeds of up to 12,000 rpm with a torque of 14 Nm. The universal turning center features a left-hand spindle (ISM 65) operating at up to 5,500 rpm with 171 Nm of torque, and a right-hand spindle (ISM 50), which runs at 6,000 rpm with 93 Nm of torque. Both turrets can work independently on each spindle as well as simultaneously on one, enabling highly efficient six-sided complete machining of workpieces up to ø 230 x 100 mm. The Y-axis travel extends +/- 50 mm., and the machine supports bar capacities of ø 65 mm, with a standard bar loading connection for seamless automation. Designed for efficiency and precision, the CTX 350 4A ensures fast, reliable performance with optimal chip removal and state-of-the-art components. In the Academy Area and the LASERTEC showroom, customers were able to experience our expertise in the areas of training and further education as well as additive manufacturing at first hand.
