The HELITURN LD family consists of WNMX ...-HTW, CNMX ...-HTW and DNMX...-HT inserts that are produced from the most advanced SUMO TEC grades. These inserts are designed with very positive radial helical cutting edges and positive rake angles a combination which substantially reduces the cutting forces and facilitates higher productivity. The CNMX and WNMX insert corners are equipped with a wiper configuration which produces high surface finish, even at high feeds. In many cases the surface finish is sufficient for eliminating a finishing cut. HELITURN LD inserts were designed for heavy machining applications.
