ISCAR TECH TALK - ISCAR's Range of Solutions for Turning (Part 1)

ISCAR offers a wide range of solutions for turning with a full range of grades for all types of materials and applications which includes uncoated inserts for machining nonferrous and aluminum materials. Coated inserts have a wide range of different grades which are PVD or CVD, for steel, stainless steel, cast iron and super alloys. For hardened materials of up to 55HRC ISCAR offers ceramics grades and CBN grades for hardened materials of up to 70HRC. PCD is recommended for machining aluminum and nonferrous materials with a high percentage of Silicon. ISO P Turning ISO-P steels with ISCAR's indexable insert grades shows unbelievable results. ISCAR’s innovative and proven grades for steel include IC807 intended for continuous machining at low cutting speeds. IC8150 is intended for continuous high cutting speeds. IC8250 for continuous and light interrupted cuts. IC8350 for interrupted cuts, and for heavy interrupted cuts ISCAR offers IC830. ISCAR assures increased tool life and less breakage. ISO M Turning ISO M grades for high performance turning stainless materials provides the ultimate solution for machining austenitic stainless steels. ISCAR Grades for stainless steel materials include: IC807 for continuous machining at low cutting speeds. IC6015 for continuous high-speed cutting. IC6025 is intended for turning interrupted cuts. For heavy interrupted cuts ISCAR offers IC830. ISO K ISO K for increased process reliability and tool life when machining cast iron. For cast iron IC5005 and IC5010 are the first choice. IC5005 for continuous cutting at high cutting speeds. IC5010 is intended for interrupted cuts. For heavy interrupted cuts ISCAR offers IC8150. Hard cast iron materials with hardness of 45HRC and up to 55HRC can be machined with ceramic grades IN110 at high cutting speeds and IS6 for interrupted cutting. Iscar tech talk - iscar neoswiss- quick change heads for swiss-type machines

NEOSWISS, a new Modular Quick-Change Head System for Swiss-Type machines Intended for Turning, Grooving, Parting, and Threading Applications NEOSWISS features a unique patented clamping mechanism which possesses very high clamping forces for extraordinary machining stability. The clamping mechanism designed for high repeatability, ensures an accurate cutting edge position each time an insert is replaced. NEOSWISS is comprised of diverse heads for turning, grooving, parting and threading operations. A neutral shank can be used for right- and left-hand heads. NEOSWISS is designed for high-pressure coolant which assures increased tool life and improved chip breaking. NEOSWISS is characterized by high position repeatability of ±0.02mm for every head replacement while the toolholder can also be used for Y-axis machines with dedicated heads. Easy insert replacement is another phenomenal feature of NEOSWISS as the system enables removing heads and replacing inserts distant from the limited working space of the machine specifically for application intended for the miniature and medical industries. I would like to remind you to download the ISCAR World app which features the revolutionary NEO-ITA for achieving optimal machining result. https://www.iscar.com/newarticles.aspx/countryid/1/newarticleid/2978 #ISCAR; #MiniatureLine; #NEOSWISS; #SwissTypeMachines; #Turning; #Grooving; #Parting; #Threading;

ISCAR TECH TALK - ISCAR's New Lever Lock Insert Clamping System

COMBI-D-LOCK Upgraded Lever Lock Improves the Clamping Rigidity of the Lever Lock Insert Clamping System ISCAR has upgraded lever lock to improve the clamping rigidity of the popular and user-friendly insert clamping system. The new design actually combines the advantages of the current lever with the extra clamping rigidity of the top clamp method. The current lever pushes the insert against the pocket, perpendicularly to the cutting force. This method sometimes fails during interrupted cut or heavy load applications, which causes the rear side of the insert to rise. The top clamp mechanism does provide high clamping security, but on the other hand edge or insert indexing is inconvenient and time consuming and the top clamp obstructs the chip flow – especially during internal turning applications. ISCAR’s new LR 4TL TOP LEVER combines the advantages of both systems. It firmly holds the insert in the pocket and also exerts an upper force on the rear side of the insert. It leaves the insert rake face unobstructed for free chip flow, while maintaining convenient insert handling and extremely high clamping security. The new LR 4TL TOP LEVER can replace the standard LR 4 lever in any tool. I would like to remind you to download the ISCAR World app which features the revolutionary NEO-ITA for achieving optimal machining result. https://www.iscar.com/newarticles.aspx/countryid/1/newarticleid/2978 #ISCAR; #TURNING; #ISOTURN; #COMBI-D-LOCK; #Clamping;
